Governance to foster the technology adoption

Governance is the ability of an organization to control and regulate its own functioning. The functioning of a company is governed according to the processes. Governance is based on the four pillars of digital transformation, namely: People, processes, technological platform and portfolio. These levels are used to plan, organize, direct and control how an organization achieves these business objectives.

– Human / People

– Process

– Techno platform

– Portfolio and policies

The documentation distinguishes two main types of governance: business and IT.

The first type refers to the capacity of an organization to control and regulate its own functioning on human, political and process aspects. The second type refers to the management mechanisms put in place specifically to achieve business objectives related to information systems.

Ti governance therefore concerns both the human aspect, the political aspect, the processes and the technology.

In a 4.0 approach, the two governance, business and Ti, are implicitly linked since they deal both with the behaviors to be adopted, the rules of use and the technological issues linked to information systems.
