The future of prescriptive analytics

Since this is a new branch of data science, many people are wondering how it is going to be used and whether or not it will be integrated in the future like some of the other branches of data science.

In 2014, around 3% of people working in the business world worked with prescriptive analytics. Some of the predictions about how precriptive analyzes will work in the future include:

• The cornerstone of this method, known as continuous analysis, is quickly becoming dominant in the large business market;
• Continuous analysis would be applied to real-time transaction-level logic;
• Prescriptive analytics has application with cybersecurity;
• Prescriptive analytics will become commonplace in a customer’s lifecycle and activities related to each state of the lifecycle;

Analytics experts are also predicting that the next major breakthrough in prescriptive analytics will be that it is likely to take hold and then spread across all industries. In 2015, this method was predicted to increase relative to consulting partnerships with academics.

The question of whether companies will really adapt to using this method or not is still relevant, but it has gained momentum, and many companies are seeing some success in its use.
